Flying halfway across the world for a three-day trip with two major events on the schedule is either productivity at its finest or a very specialized form of jet lag discipline. But both conversations came back to the same core theme: Ensuring research actually changes things in the real world rather than gathering digital dust. 

The Highlights:

• Asian Development Bank: Discussed the impact of UNIDO’s business registration reforms and energy efficiency interventions in Viet Nam. Also, shared ways to make evaluations useful for evidence-based policymaking. Moderated and spoke on a session with 3ie and GEF.
• Ateneo de Manila (Publishing in Business & Society): Swapped policy frameworks for journal strategies in a great conversation with more than 70 faculty members in attendance. We talked through what it takes to publish in Business & Society—namely, writing papers that push theoretical boundaries while addressing the big socio-environmental challenges of our time. 

A huge thank you to ADB, UNIDO, and Ateneo for making this whirlwind trip so engaging and productive.
